ABOUT SCHOOL: M.A.A.S.S.SCHOOL is one of the oldest schools in Bihar. It was founded on 1 March, 1884. It is situated at Guzri Bazar, Paschim Darwaza, Patna City. This is a historic institution connected with the early phase of the freedom struggle and against the British Sovereignty. It contributed a lot to the great reform movement launched and lead by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.

FOUNDER OF THE SCHOOL: This school was founded by Mohammadan Education Committee and Late Maulvi Md. Hassan Zabih Sadiquepuri was its first Secretary.

THE PURPOSE: This school was established with the sole purpose of propagating modern education with theology of different religions.

THE EXECUTOR: Mohammadan Education Committee (MEC), Patna constituted in February 1884.The Committee through this school has rendered very useful services to the people of Bihar in general and of Patna in particular Oriental College, Patna City was also established in 1964 by the same Committee.

MEMBERS OF MEC: Many important national personalities were associated with this Committee such as Khuda Baksh Khan, Sultan Ahmad, Maulana Mazharul Haque, Mr. Abdul Aziz, Principal Moinul Haque, S. Badruddin Ahmad, Justice Sarwar Ali (Ex- Acting Chief Justice), Justice Syed Ali Ahmad, Justice Aftab Ahmad etc.

STATUS: It is a government aided Muslim Minority Institution affiliated to the Govt. of Bihar and the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna upto class XIIth.

FEATURES: Since very beginning the school has upheld secular values. It is a Muslim Minority School but it has been open to all. Infact religion has never been the criteria for admission. Along with the general classes arrangements have been made for the teaching of theology too. It is even today, an embodiment of secularism.

PATRONS: Eminent persons of Bihar, Maulvi Md Hassan 'Zabih' Khuda Baksh Khan, S.Nurul Hoda, Sir Ali Imam , Maulana Mazharul Haque , Justice Sharfuddin , Sir Sultan Ahmad , Justice Khalil Ahmad ,Justice S. Akbar Hussain, Moinul Haque and other distinguished. Persons guided the destiny of this institution.

SOURCE OF INSPIRATION: Dr. Kalimuddin Ahmad , Justice Sarwar Ali , S. Monawwarul Hoda ( Ex – Secretary ), Justice Ali Ahmad ( Ex – President of the school ) , Mr. S. Imam Ali , Dr. Qeyamuddin Ahmad ( Ex – Secretary ) and historian Dr. S. Akbar Ali , Prof. Md Ali Khan ( Ex – Secretary ) , Mr. Akbar Shahabuddin ( Ex – Secretary ) and other members of the Managing Committee and MEC will be remembered for their untiring efforts to better of the institution.

INFRASTRUCTURE: Six blocks belong to the school i.e. one in the Science Block built in 1940, a single story with gallery, classrooms, smart class room and Sifton Block containing 10 (Ten) classrooms for primary section. Second for the +2 classes and a meeting room (two storied). The third is for the principal's chamber and +2 office. Fourth is for NCC and Sports room and the fifth is the double story building. It is a central building for teacher's hall (multipurpose hall) library, computer class and office for secondary classes. The first floor of this building is for girls section containing ten classrooms, six wash rooms, one girls common room and a corridor. The sixth building is a single story building for science laboratories. A will equipped physics, chemistry and biology laboratories .

ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT: The academic atmosphere of this school has ever been improving students are motivated to devote themselves to their curricular and extracurricular activities i.e debates, essay competition, speech competition and quiz competition etc.

LIBRARY: The school is having a rich library in which thousands of books are always available for the students and the teacher’s of the school.

TEACHER’S: Well qualified and well experienced teachers are rendering their services with dedications. Most of the teachers are post graduates one of them is a Ph.D degree holder.
